North Fields Protections – Open Space Bond Update – Spring 2025
Your County Open Space bond money has been matched over SIX TIMES to other open space funds! The $10 Million Open Space Bond is set to preserve 623 acres in Heber Valley valued at over $66 Million!
*New Update coming soon for April 2025* Previous Bypass Road UPDATE below for June 2024
UDOT should widen this north part of Highway 40 to not only add more lanes, but also put in overpasses instead of stop lights with on/off ramps. That will improve travel time and take care of the increased density & traffic the Heber City Council approved from 2019 - 2022. We need to keep UDOT out of the North Fields and protect the agriculture and sensitive lands. We don't need a 'Legacy Parkway' built next to Highway 40.

Update on City Manager Contract, March 7th Council Meeting
The proposed city manager contract is trying have it both ways at the City’s expense. I don’t know of any of City that gives this much protection to an ‘at will employee.’ It’s not wise and creates a expensive, hazardous precedent for the future.
Bypass Route Update for March 15, 2023
Continuing to study Bypass routes through the North Fields could be considered a waste of money at best, and an attempt to circumvent the will of the majority of people in Heber Valley at worst.
Bypass Road Update– March 7, 2023 City Council Action on Upcoming Resolution to UDOT
Preserving our quality of life is much more important than saving two minutes of time for those driving thru our valley. Original Bypass Routes like Route WB2 will get the diesels off Main Street and provide the connectivity we need now and with future growth.
